YAG Lasers
YAG lasers, short for Yttrium Aluminum Garnet lasers, are a type of medical laser commonly used in ophthalmology and other fields of medicine. These lasers emit light with a wavelength of 1064 nanometers, which is in the near-infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. In ophthalmology, YAG lasers are primarily used for posterior capsulotomy and peripheral iridotomy procedures.
